Fund Raiser: January 16th - January 19th

The goal for the Double Good Popcorn Fund Raiser is $5,000. The chapter will receive 50 percent of the profit. Please purchase the Popcorn to help us raise funds to give scholarships to deserving High School Seniors and current NSU Students (Merit, Book & Legacy). If you prefer not participate please consider making a donation to the chapter. (DO NOT MAKE the monetary donation to the Popcorn drive.)

Alumni Weekend: February 16th - February 17th

1. Friday night, the Hall of Fame (Sports) Dinner TBD time, TBD location and TBD Cost.

2. Statuary morning, the NSUAA Brunch. Please let me know if you just became a Lifetime Member. New Lifetime members will be honored. Let's plan on purchasing a table at the brunch so we can all celebrate together.

MEAC: March 13th - March 16th

Tournament ticket books are on sale now at the NSU Ticket Center, which is open Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. NSU has tickets available in sections 113, 218, and 219. Tickets are $105 per book in the 200-level sections (218 and 219) or two books for $185 total for limited time only. Tickets are $135 per booklet in the lower-level section (113). This year's tournament tickets will be digital (no physical tickets); all ticket purchases will be sent to fans' email addresses and smartphones beginning February 5, 2023. Fans are asked to download the Ticketmaster app to their mobile device for quick and easy access the week of the tournament. All tournament tickets must be bought in-person only at the NSU Ticket Center, located between Joseph Echols Hall and William "Dick" Price Stadium. The 2024 MEAC Tournament runs March 13-16 at the Norfolk Scope Arena. For more information, call (757) 823-9009.

Membership Dues: Membership dues are $50.00 per year and go towards supporting PGCMDC events. With that membership you will feel the sense of pride we share in belonging to the growing NSUAA family. Benefits include a membership card, 10% discount at the NSU book store, hotel and rental car discounts, and invitation to special NSU Alumni Association events. If you have paid your membership dues, THANK YOU!!! For those who have not joined/renewed their membership to the NSUAA, I challenge you to do so. It is never too late to give your time, your talents, and your treasures. We would love for you to help grow the chapter to greater heights. We encourage your participation and ideas, and hope you will become active in chapter activities.

Spartan Express Bus Tour:

The Baltimore Metro Chapter and the Prince George’s County of Maryland Chapter of the Norfolk State University Alumni Association will be transporting, by bus, approximately 40 high school juniors and seniors (20 students from Baltimore and 20 students from Prince George's County) to explore the campus of Norfolk State University on Monday, March 25, 2024.

The bus will make two stops:

1. Woodlawn High School

1801 Woodlawn Drive

Gwynn Oak, MD

Departure time: 4:15am

2. First Baptist Church of Highland Park Park

6801 Sheriff Road

Landover, MD

Departure time: 5:15am

This group of students will meet up with another bus load of high school students in Northern Virginia and from there, both buses will drive down to Norfolk, VA.

The NSU campus tour will be from 9:00AM to 2:00PM. The bus with the high school students from Maryland will return to Landover at 6:00PM.

Parents/adult chaperones are recommended but not required. The cost for this trip is $45.00 per person (students, parents and chaperones) which includes breakfast, lunch and snacks.

We are accepting donations of water and snacks for this trip.
