On April 27, 2013, PGCMDC members took time out of their schedules to participate in the 25th annual Christmas in April event. This event uses the work of volunteers and skilled laborers to come together and renovate the homes of local residents who may not normally be able to afford these repairs on their own.Â
NSU Night at the Wizards, December 28, 2012
More than 100 Spartans gathered at the Verizon Center to watch Kyle O'Quinn in his first NBA game in the MD/VA area. Kyle was a key factor in NSU's victory over Missouri in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Basketball Tournament. Subsequently, he was drafted in the second round of the NBA draft by the Orlando Magic.
Christmas in April Event, April 28, 2012
Members of PGCMDCÂ recently volunteered their time and talents to assist in renovating the home of a Prince George's county resident. They cleared debris from the backyard, painted the interior, removed old furniture, and helped bring in new materials for the renovation. Thanks to all that participated.

Black College Expo 2010 (11/14/10)
The Prince Georges County Maryland Chapter (PGCMDC) was asked to represent NSU at the Black Expo College Fair that was held at the University of Maryland on November 13th. Chapter members answered questions about the university, accepted over 70 applications, and gathered contact data for dozens of potential PGCMDC scholarship applicants.Â
